It’s the vegan life for me. Well, not completely, just for a week. It’s good to try new things, and while I’m not a huge steak eater, I love fish and chicken, I’m craving fried catfish right now…I don’t know why.
Healthy mind, body, and spirit is my mantra and refraining from animal products I’m told by the nutritionist at the farmers market is the best way to stay fit and have great skin. I like the sound of both those things.
I also believe that we take in what we eat, the spiritual aspect of plant or animal. Eating is a sacred act, we are literally fueling these amazing bodies that house our spirit. If we want to achieve the desires of our heart, feeding it well, and keeping impurities out of it as much as possible is probably a good thing.
Now I’m craving green tea, the great purifier of all things.
Eating a plant based diet will be an interesting practice in discipline that’s for sure, but luckily we live in a world were Vegan is much more accessible. My energy levels do seem to be going up again, which is a good thing. Getting a full 8 hours of sleep helps as well. I’m a night owl, with an active mind, I could write to the wee hours of the morning; however, then I’m all sluggish the next day.
A week of vegan, 8 hours of sleep, meditation, completing my vision board, addressing some serious responsibilities that need to be addressed, 5 AM wake up call, reading, riding, working out, curious to see how I feel after this week.
With that all said…
Change happens “one day at a time”. Just for today I practice these things, form new habits, and not try to future trip so much. Just for today, I go to bed early, and get up early, and read, and write, and drink my green tea, and lots of water and refrain from alcohol and animal products. Small steps, each day.
Just for today I’m a little bit vegan, a little bit green.
