One of the coolest things about my job is that I have the flexible schedule to leave early and work from home on occasion. It’s awesome. Awesome because I get to watch my daughter get off the bus at the end of the school day. It drops her off 200 ft. from my house, on the corner of Wallace and Laurel. From the bay window I watch the buss pull up, stop at the stop sign and Anna and the neighbor boy hop down the bus stairs, walk under the Oak tree beginning to loose its brown leaves, crisped up from the cool weather.
It’s Mayberry. A beautiful human moment, peaceful, it reminds me of that pure time we all had as kids, when everything was school and fall leaves.
These moments make it easy for me to be so grateful for all the blessings in my life. Hard fought for, but worth every golden fall moment.
